CAA RPAS / UAS Related documentation

The CAA has recently added a page to their website listing all RPAS/UAS-related documents and publications to assist Remote Pilots and UAS Operators.

Gone are the days of having to trawl through the CAA Publications pages of the CAA website in an attempt to find drone-related documentation. The UAS Sector of the UK CAA has decided to simplify the process by including all drone-related documents in one place, the aptly named CAA Publications Library. This allows the Remote Pilot or UAS Operator to source the relevant documentation with ease.

The CAA Publications Library

All RUAS / UAS related documents can be found here.

The UAS CAA Publications Library lists and links the primary Unmanned Aircraft documents and application forms published by the CAA, this includes;

  • Unmanned Aircraft Safety Notices (SM)
  • UAS Civil Aviation Publications (CAPs)
  • New Regulation Fact Sheets
  • Unmanned Aircraft CAPs published by other CAA Departments
  • Unmanned Aircraft Official Record Series (ORS)
  • Application Forms

A Welcome Change

The instructors here at RUAS Training Academy welcome the change, they have found that students in the past have had some degree of difficulty ploughing through publications that are not relevant to UAS operations in order to try and find a specific drone-related document. Fortunately this is no longer the case, we can send our students just one link where they can access all the required documents.
