GVC, A2 CofC, Flight Training and Assessment Drone Training Course. The A2 Certificate of Competency is a remote pilot competency certificate intended to assure the safe operation of unmanned aircraft close to uninvolved persons; this test is completed online. The GVC is a Remote Pilot Competency Certificate, suitable for VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) operations within the Specific Category; this is a blended learning course, with some parts completed online and others in the classroom at our Training Academy in Newport.

Our drone training courses are perfect for complete beginners who wish to operate drones.* Anyone over 19 and who lives in Wales can apply, however the online learning module and Flyer/Operator ID must be completed prior to the examination.
*Prerequisite to completing the course is a minimum of 2 hours of drone flying experience, submitted to RUAS prior to course completion.

There are no requirements for the courses, it is open to all. No previous drone experience is necessary. To qualify for the FREE PLA funding, however, you must be over 19 and live in Wales.
